Jul 1, 2025 | Company News | 0 comments

David A. Bramble, Inc. today announced it has achieved Silver Level in Associated Builders and Contractors’ STEP Safety Management System. Founded more than three decades ago, STEP is a proven system that provides the framework to measure, strengthen, and build industry-leading safety programs that enable top-performing ABC members to achieve incident rates nearly six times safer than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics construction industry average.

“Safety is not just a priority—it’s a core value at David A. Bramble, Inc. This recognition reflects the efforts of our entire team, who work every day to maintain the highest standards of safety across every jobsite,” said Teddy Obrecht, Safety Engineer at David A Bramble, Inc. “Programs like STEP help ensure we continually improve our safety culture while protecting the people who build our communities.”

At David A. Bramble, Inc., safety begins with leadership and is reinforced through ongoing training, robust jobsite protocols, and a commitment to innovation in safety practices. STEP participants measure their safety processes and policies through a comprehensive questionnaire, with the goal of implementing or enhancing health and safety programs that reduce jobsite incidents. David A. Bramble, Inc. earned its Silver Level designation through strong performance in areas such as having low incident rate, zero federal/state OSHA citations, a high regard for employee health, a strong leadership commitment, and a culture built around safety.

“Safety is a journey, and that journey is possible because of systems like STEP, which enables ABC member contractors like David A. Bramble, Inc. to actively build health and safety into their culture,” said Greg Sizemore, ABC vice president of health, safety, environment and workforce development.

According to ABC’s annual Safety Performance Report, STEP participants, regardless of company size or work type, can reduce recordable incidents by up to 83%, making the best-performing companies 576% safer than the industry average. STEP ratings range from Diamond, the highest, to Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Participant.
