404 Dualization

The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) is widened MD 404 from a two-lane road to a four-lane divided highway with shoulders. The entire 11.3 mile widening project was from US 50 to east of Holly Road and spans Queen Anne’s, Talbot and Caroline counties. New service roads (local roads parallel to MD 404) and shared driveways were constructed to reduce the number of entry/exit points along MD 404.
